Ranch Race —

October 17, 2009 — This summer was full of new challenges and experiences for the many learners at MRHT. One student in particular stands out in my mind as she has exuberantly embraced every opportunity to stretch and grow herself and her horse. I want to commend Diane for her courage and willingness to tackle such a variety of experiences. Her ultimate test of horsemanship came at the Colorado Corral Ranch Race held in Evergreen, CO. Diane discerningly guided her mount, Binder, through an array of obstacles (cattle included) all the while honoring her skill level and demonstrating great consideration for her horse. A beautiful display of partnership indeed. Kudos to Diane and Binder for having the guts to give it a try and a big congratulations for a successful first competition.
