We welcome you to Mountain Rose Ranch and to our 1st annual Central Nebraska Dressage Classic to be held on Saturday, April 27th and Sunday, April 28th. The purpose of this weekend is to increase knowledge and interest in western and english dressage in central Nebraska. First and foremost the weekend will be set-up to be a fun, non-intimidating and user friendly collection of events designed to introduce horse and human to the discipline of dressage and to aid those more familiar in achieving that next step!
The weekend is open to both western and english riders and all levels of horse and rider are welcome!

Meet the Clinician/Judge: Susan Lang has been riding and showing horses for over 30 years, primarily in traditional dressage. However, in recent years she has become a supporter of Western Dressage, and earned her United States Equestrian Federation "R" Western Dressage judge's card. She has also recently completed the Western Dressage Association "Train the Trainer" clinic to assure that she continues developing her stills so she can help others. Susan focuses on making the rider aware of how the horse is positively affected by correct rider position, thereby creating a better-balanced horse that is confident in his work. She works well with horses and riders of all skill levels.
As the current President of Kansas Dressage and Eventing Association (KDEA) , and also a United States Dressage Federation L-Graduate schooling show judge, Susan guides the KDEA, judges regional dressage shows and also teaches out of Capall Baile in Wichita, KS. Having retired her 22 year old pinto Dutch warmblood from traditional dressage, where they showed through Fourth Level, she is now showing him at Level 1 in Western Dressage where they are enjoying a new career.
Susan has judged the Western Dressage World Show in past years, and is once again judging the World show in 2019. She has also judged Western Dressage at Morgan Grand Nationals on two occasions. In addition, Susan is also a licensed Dressage Technical Delegate and has knowledge of tack, attire and show procedures for both Western and English dressage.
